On November 18th 2007, in one of the last bike rides of the year, I rode to the Mirabel airport complex north west of Montréal.
In October 2004, ADM, the unelected body that reports to nobody, finally succeeded in closing Mirabel's passenger operations. To do so, they had to i pay a lot of money to move Air Transat's operations, headquarters and maintenance hangar to Dorval. They also had to essentially buy the on-site Hotel, a now worthless property.
These pictures were taken with a mobile handset (so please excuse quality) on one of the last autumn days without snow.
